他給她的頸項買了顆鑽石
讓她住進山上的牧場大宅
她可以看到山谷中的篝火
從她的窗台
看那斜陽下藍色的池塘
聽那夏日草坪上的悉悉響

他築起鐵絲網籬笆
把陌生人擋在外
在每顆金屬刺上
沾了一些自己的血
她為他的籬笆巡邏
伴以拉丁鼓聲
以及夏日草坪上的悉悉響
黑暗
納悶讓人太輕易
黑暗
帶上愉悅的假面

沒色彩也沒對比

現時原文第二段八 九兩 行Darkness/ Wonder makes it easy及尾二行第三個Darkness，在當時吳煦斌翻譯時是沒有的。原因可能是版本不同，亦可能是漏譯。請讀者留意。
